Sweet Surprises from Peyton

Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here showcasing another fabulous stamp & die set from the new Egg-Ceptional Bunny collection at Ink N' Splatter.  Peyton is having so much fun coloring his Easter eggs. He sure has made a mess. Make sure to check them all out.  He's just covered in paint isn't he? Just like I would be! All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I began by coloring Peyton and all his fabulous paint spills and eggs on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS:
• Bunny (N2, N0, 0, R22, R20, R02, R01, R000)
• Clothes (B95, B91)
• Eggs (YR24, YR20, R02, R12, R11, RV99, RV95, RV93, RV91)
• Paint (YR24, YR21, YR20, R02, R12, R11)
• Paint Cans & Brush (YG67, YG63, YG61, E29, E13, N7)
PAPER & EVERYTHING ELSE
• Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Paper
• Card Stock - Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Garden Green
• Designer Paper - Oh Happy Day
• Stamps - Peyton's Painted Eggs
• Dies - Stitched So Sweetly, Spring Essentials, Nested Pierced Eggs
• Ink - Calypso Coral, Memento Tuxedo Black
• Foam Tape, Bearly Art Craft Glue, Foam Adhesive Strips, Easter Dots, Corner Rounder

Here are the links for both the Stamp & Die sets:

I started by making the card base from a piece of Calypso Coral card stock that matched the patterned paper and some of the paint and eggs perfectly. The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/2 on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the gold paper doesn't tear.

I cut two beautiful pieces of patterned paper from Oh Happy Day. One is 5 4/8" x 4 1/8". The other is 4 3/4" x 3 1/2". I rounded the corners on the smaller piece using a corner rounder. The larger piece is glued straight to the card base using wet glue. I cut a second piece of Calypso Coral to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8". It is attached to the larger patterned paper with foam tape and the smaller piece of patterned paper is glued on top of it with wet glue. I did use my score board to make a small 1/8 inch score around all four sides of the smaller piece of Calypso Coral. Gives the card more dimension.

Here is the link to the patterned paper:

I used the two largest Nested Egg Dies to cut two pieces, one from So Saffron card stock and the other from Blushing Bride. I attached them to the top of the layers with strips of foam adhesive to pop them up a little.

I used the Spring Essentials die set to cut two pieces of Easter grass from Garden Green card stock. These are glued with wet glue across the bottom of the smaller egg. Peyton is nestled right in front of the grass with wet glue.

Peyton's Painted Eggs stamp set has 4 fun sentiments that you can mix and match. I love giving my friends 'Sweet Surprises' so what better sentiment for me to use. What would you use?

He's just covered in paint isn't he? Just like I would be!
