Sometimes Its The Simple Things
Hey Y'all!!! This fabulous little pup is part of the New Sizzling Summer release at Ink 'N' Splatter. The release includes two fun new stamp & die sets as well as three new paper pads. For this card I've used the Summertime Pups stamp set and the new and fabulous Watermelon Lemonade Paper Pad. So many fun patterns. Be sure to check them all out. I began by coloring this cute little puppy on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Copic markers.

I started by making the card base from a piece of Melon Mambo card stock. The card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/2" on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the card stock doesn't tear.
For the bottom layer I cut a piece of Watermelon Lemonade to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and glued it to the card base with Bearly glue.
I cut three layers to create the rest of the card. The bottom layer is Pear Pizzazz and a different piece of Watermelon Lemonade. The Pear Pizzazz measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and the Watermelon Lemonade was cut with one of the Zig Zag Rectangles.
The two layers on front were cut from Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz. The Melon Mambo measures 3 1/8" x 2 7/8". The Pear Pizzazz pieces were cut using smaller Zig Zag Rectangles.
All the layers are popped up with foam tape. Obviously you can choose your own colors of Watermelon Lemonade and their placement.
The beach towel is glued flat to one of the front layers with wet glue. My little puppy and her summertime drink are popped up with foam tape on the bottom front layer.

The stamp set has several wonderful sentiments. I chose 'Sometimes It's The Simple Things That Bring The Most Happiness'. I cut it out with a sentiment die I love and popped it up with foam tape.
