Pool Party
Hey Y'all!!! This fabulous little pup is part of the New Sizzling Summer release at Ink 'N' Splatter. The new release includes two fun new stamp & die sets as well as three new paper pads. My first card is using the Sporty Summer Pups stamp set and the new and fabulous Blue Green Serene Paper Pad. So many fun patterns. Be sure to check them all out. I began by coloring this cute little puppy on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Copic markers.

I started by making the card base from a piece of Early Espresso card stock. The card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/2" on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the card stock doesn't tear.
For the bottom layer I cut a piece of Blue Green Serene to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and glued it to the card base with Bearly glue.
I cut three layers of the Early Espresso & Blue Green Serene and layered them. The square piece is 2.75" x 2.75" (Early Espresso) & 2.5" x 2.5" (Blue Green Serene). The layers behind that are about 4" wide but laid diagonally. They are all popped up with foam tape.
My little sporty pup is popped up with foam tape on top of the diagonal layers. I stamped the 'Pool Party' sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink and cut it out with one of my favorite sentiment die sets. It's popped up with foam tape too.
For a little extra shiny stuff, which you know I love, I added some dots all around the card.
He looks like he's a good snorkeler, doesn't he!
