Cupcake Time
Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here. This fabulous little kitty is yet another part of the NEW super cute "Sweet Celebrations" release at Ink N' Splatter. She's carrying that cupcake behind her back. Looks like it might be a surprise! For me? Oh you shouldn't have! Be sure to check out all the fun stamp and die sets! All the Ink N' Splatter pairables are super fun to coordinate, mix and match. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).
I began by coloring this sweet little kitty on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Copic markers.
I started by making the card base from a beautiful light color of card stock, So Saffron. It matches the patterned paper and her little outfit perfectly, don't you think?. The card base is 8 1/2 x 4 1/4, scored at 4 1/2 on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the card stock doesn't tear.
I cut a beautiful piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Celebrations paper pad at 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", rounded the top two corners with a corner rounder punch and glued it with wet glue to the card base.
I created an additional layer by cutting both a piece of Melon Mambo card stock and a piece of Sweet Celebrations patterned paper with the Arched Window die. Obviously you can use whatever patterns to fill in the center window glass that you would like.
The Arched Window and 'glass' pieces are all glued flat to the background paper.
I ran some lime twine through the holes of four Buttons Galore Buttons and glued them down with wet glue, 3 on top of the bottom left window pane and one in the top corner. Give some added dimension to the card. I used foam tape to stick my pretty little kitty on top of the right pane of glass.
I stamped the Cupcake Time sentiment on another piece of So Saffron. This stamp set has four fun sentiments for you to choose from. It's cut out with an old sentiment die that I love.
She's carrying it behind her back. Looks like it might be a surprise!
