Thanks For Being Such A Good Friend
Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here. Sunshine! Sunshine! Sunshine! That's what good friends are to me. I'm sure they are to you too. I used the Bright Sun Rays Stencil from Ink n' Splatter to create this card. So beautiful and simple. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).
I began by coloring a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using the Bright Sun Rays Stencil & Distress Oxide Inks.
I started by making the card base from a piece of Neenah classic paper. The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/2 on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the gold paper doesn't tear.
I cut a second piece of Neenah classic to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". I used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink to color just the entire outside edge of the paper. Gives the rays a pretty yellow outline that matches the rays exactly. It's glued down to the card base with wet glue..
The sun rays are cut to 5 1/4" x 4" and glued down to the background with wet glue. Such a simple but beautiful card.
The Monkey Love stamp set has such cute sentiments. I chose 'Thanks for being such a good friend' but there are 2 others to choose from. Cut it out with a ATC Antique frames oval die and popped it up in the top right corner of the suns rays.
Of course I had to had to add some glitter dots to one of the rays. You can never have too much glitter.
Are you ready for a little sunshine and some beautiful hot rays?
