Just Floating By And Waving Hi
Hey Y'all!!! Teresa here. I love shaker cards and I love fish & turtles. This shaker card is just a fish tank with fish inside instead of confetti. But what could be better than having them all together. These fun little fish are part of the 'Seas Every Moment' stamp set & matching die set from Ink N' Splatter. I paired it with a fun 6 x 6 paper pack called Clucker Club. So many fun patterns. Be sure to check them all out. All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).
I began by coloring these cute little fish and turtle on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper using Copic markers.
I started by making the card base from a piece of Basic White card stock. The card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/2" on the long side. Just a helpful tip - Make sure you used your bone folder to crease the score line well so the card stock doesn't tear.
For the bottom layer I cut a piece of Clucker Club to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and glued it to the card base with Bearly glue. I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to cut a piece of Basic White card stock and glued it down with wet glue in the center to the background. Made a nice frame for the fish tank.
I cut three layers of the fish tank, one from the Silver Foil, one from the paper I colored with the alcohol ink and one from the window sheet. I used the foam tape to create a shaker card without the confetti inside it. I glued one fish and the turtle inside with the second fish sticking up out of the tank. How cute is that!! Then entire fish tank is glued down to the card with wet glue and the little yellow fish has a little foam tape behind her. I added a fun little gold element like seaweed sticking up out of the water.
I added some white confetti as bubbles coming up out of the water. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink, cut out with a sentiment die and popped up with foam tape.
Wish I had a fish tank. What fun that would be!
